The latest and greatest!

Well it seems like it has been a long October - the weather is still holding on, but change is coming!  Time to settle in with some cool weather sewing projects don'tyou think?  We have some bright and funky 'Birds of a Feather' fabrics which could turn into a great tote bag or apron.

Farm Chic Apron
And this French inspired farm chic collection stitched up pretty well into this fun ruffled apron... Or maybe a table runner for the dairy farmer in your life?

Dogma Quilt

This ethnic flavored fabric collection features dark tones and muted colors with a splash of salmon and turquoise.   Not to mention the focal point of these quilt blocks...portraits of some favorite dogs.  The main print for the collection portrays  dogs upclose, painted by David Hearn, www.doodledoarts.com, formerly of Whidbey Island.

Stop by and see this quilt in person - kind of fun and funky!

Happy stitching...

Projects and patterns and gift ideas!

Look at this bright alphabet panel - add a quick border and presto a great quilt for a kiddo in your life!

Alphabet Soup

And it's not too early to be thinking about harvest table place-settings, hostess gifts and yummy fall colors!  This free project pattern from In the Beginning, features a throw quilt - we think it would be easy to simplify - into a table runner or placemats and add on a few mitered napkins.  Pretty festive!

And this gorgeous floral collection features some unusual plum colors, birds and vines and soft florals... this great pattern is fat quarter friendly and certainly could be created in a multitude of fat quarter collections you just might have been holding onto for the right project!  Just add a background and border and you're almost there!

Vienna Gardens
And yes - we do love Halloween, and we know lots of fun people with October birthdays so pillowcases are the go-to gift idea - that perfect one-size-fits-all gift that we can tailor to just about any decor, and we added our fun Halloween tag-its for an added touch on these cases!  We have tag-its for other occasions (Happy Birthday, PS I love you, etc.)...so there really is something for everyone!

Is it Halloween yet?

We do love fall colors, pumpkins, chocolate.... And great sewing projects!
Center block Which Witch's Boot

Which Witch's Boot created by Cathy Callan, quilted by Krista Moser
Look at this treat!! We get to enjoy and display this awesome quilt...and we've been stitching up some wooly pumpkins that feature wood spool stems, leather buttons and fiber garnishes.   Who knows what your stash of treats might hold to create the perfect pumpkins!  We have the pattern for these and you can turn out a new fall centerpiece for your table or decoration for the mantle in no time!

The posh pumpkin line has beautiful fall colors, and a festive pumpkin panel that turned into some pretty simple placemats...a fun banner or table topper would also be a quick project to enjoy with some pumpkin pie perhaps?

Hope you have some great fall sewing projects lined up....

Clothes-Pincushion and New Fabric!

Vintage Seeds
We have some great new fabrics to take your mind of the wet and windy weather!  Some of these will even make you think about gardening again!  We've got vintage seeds and garden tools, spring green frogs at play, bright birds and polka dots....you name it!

We've even got charm packs of S'more love - all ready for a camping trip, or maybe just a makeover for your camper in preparation for next summer!

S'more Love
And more in keeping with holiday planning - don't you love the Jan Brett books - well...it comes in fabric now!  This would be a fun addition for any little one to find under the tree!

And...no, we didn't forget our pincushion this month - this little cutie will clip on to your project, your sewing basket...or your shirt.  You can have pins at the ready and on the go!  No sewing machine required!  Our photo doesn't show these well, but the 'pouf' is only about 1 1/2 inches in diameter - so this is a dainty one.  And yes, those are little monsters on the purple fabric....we are preparing for halloween and fall with some festive projects!  Stay tuned for some new fall treasures.
